Paul Whitehead has been producing specialty music programs for television and record since 1971. Sales of over 180 million units include 3 triple-platinum, 6 double-platinum, 24 platinum, and 20 gold albums.

 

Whitehead has produced multi-platinum recordings in each of the past four decades.

Career highlights:

 

·        Produced the Number 3 and 4 best selling classical albums of all time. Of the fourteen true classical albums to achieve platinum status, Whitehead produced seven.

 

§         Conceptualized, produced from scratch, and sold over 15 million units of classical music at Victoria’s Secret (88-97)

 

§         Conceptualized and delivered the Hallmark Cards Christmas program undertaken in 1985 and continues today

 

§         Produced Placido Domingo’s first platinum album (‘86)

 

§         First producer to have platinum record albums with the three premier English orchestras:  London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic and London Philharmonic

 

§         Produced the title track and three additional selections on Kodak’s Atlanta Olympic96 album (1.4 mm sales)

 

§         Two Disney albums (cumulative sales of over 5 mm) remain at the top of Billboard Kids Charts 25 years after release, the only multi-platinum productions on the Kids Chart

 

§         Produced the first platinum performance (‘86) of Tchaikovsky‘s “The Nutcracker” with the Royal Philharmonic and followed with the London Symphony (‘94) double platinum performance

 

·        Conceptualized and produced Disney’s Mickey Mouse Disco at over 3.5 million sales, largest children’s (non soundtrack) album of all time

 

·        Whitehead is currently in production, or under contract to deliver major musical properties to Hallmark Cards, Steven Spielberg’s D-T-S, and PBS.

 

·        Audio for film and television credits include, works for Columbia Pictures, NBC, Columbia Tri-Star, Disney, ABC, VH-1, Fox, PAX, and PBS.

 

·        The PBS credit includes the Cinema Audio Society’s “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing” for Ray Charles In Concert.

 

·        The VH-1 credit includes an Emmy nomination for

“Best Sound Mixing” of the The One and Only Aretha Franklin - Divas Live 2001.

 

·        Whitehead has produced direct response programs for Time-Life, Heartland, QVC, National Geographic, QMO, TEJ, Home Shop Network, Southern Living, Tampa Marketing, Cornerstone, Candelite, and K-tel among others.

 

·        Other significant projects include million selling programs or multiple works for the National Geographic Society, 3m, Sony, EMI, BMG, Polygram/Universal, and Sony.
